The Nepali Man

the summit of Dhaka topi
over a folded fortune forehead traces
a smiley warm sight of woolen high-necked
tackled and muffled between the smart suit
and brave foots tightened with the Goldstar shoes.

deep sleep beneath the long, grey and dried grassed ceiling
with pleasure, a cultured, a living, a fulfilled and a religious vibe
the children, rice, millet, maize, cattle, and wife
the brave trail runner and for whose mountains are life.

with soundless rhythms of folks, traditions, village, and tillage
a blended voice with politeness and shy
the one, the old, the western and the eastern, the Nepali man.
