Walk by my side

Just walk by my side.
You need not hold my hands,
or match the rhythm of my steps.

You need not worry.
There will be plenty of spots to rest,
Plenty of refreshment breaks,
It’s the pace which can be slow or fast.

And one day if you want to stop,
I will just look into your eyes
and find the tiredness.
I won’t ask you why,
for all those steps that we’ve taken together
And I will kiss you goodbye.

Till then,
just walk by my side.
I will not tame your free soul,
and you need not complete me.
